Wired for Greatness: Celebrating Women in Engineering

International Women in Engineering Day is celebrated annually on 23rd June. This important date offers an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women in engineering, while also encouraging more women and girls to consider a career in the field.

We’re proud to share some of the latest achievements and developments from our talented engineers:

Olivia Kirkbright – Engineering Apprentice:

One of our newest engineering apprentices, Olivia Kirkbright, recently begun her PAT testing training which is said to be going very well. She has also now been signed off for live testing, which she passed with flying colours. This accomplishment adds two more valuable skill sets to Olivia’s growing repertoire as she continues to develop her engineering capabilities.

Gracie Walton – Engineering Apprentice:

Gracie Walton recently had the exciting opportunity to travel to Clermont-Ferrand, France, to attend an exhibition. The event gave her valuable insight into how international conferences operate, experience how various departments work together to represent the company and network with customers. Gracie thoroughly enjoyed her time in France and gained a better understanding of how her engineering work directly impacts the end users.

Both Gracie and Olivia have also recently completed their first aid training, further expanding their skills and knowledge.
